Hi all,
Been taking photos a good while now and use Karls DVD set a lot, been a great help in this long learning curve. Anyway, I treat myself to some flash equipment and wireless triggers and soft box and with the help of my friends daughter managed to take some portraits for the first time.

The constraints were a small room (around 8 foot across so not much room to back away from the model), a large window with a grey sky and the corresponding daylight plus low internal lighting, making the ambient lighting difficult. I could not move any furniture around either!

So with that I thought some shots in front of the fire would look ok, and my intention was to balance the ambient with the flash in order to give a warm feeling. Not sure I was successful there!

Also, the post processing - have I got it about right in terms of skin colour, or maybe less saturation?

Anyway, feedback appreciated but please be gentle! Thanks everyone.
